When you are friends with a local you get benefits

Our friends Mika and Musashi invited us to join them on Sat to go to a new park.  It was an amazing park with so many playgrounds and right by the ocean.  It was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful time.

Hangin' with my best friend

Musashi and Collin has a blast last Sat playing at the park.  You will notice in a few pictures that Collin doesn't have any shorts.  The slide had a puddle of water until Collin's shorts soaked it up.  The good news is that they dried up quickly and he was able to put them back on.  Yes, I know its very ghetto but hey, we were the only ones at the park so it was cool.

I love Mama's Backpack!

Bubbles

So, I've had this big bottle of bubbles since Collin was 10 months old and we never really did anything with them because he showed zero interest them.  So, the other day, he spotted the bottle and instantly knew that it contained bubbles.  I was first shocked that he knew this and couldn't wait to get him outside to do this.  We started out with me blowing bubbles and Collin chasing them around but that didn't last long.  My adventurous guy felt that he needed to do show Mommy how to do it. Here he is explaining to me how to do it.

Cinderella

My neighbor was so kind to invite us to see Cinderella last weekend and I wasn't sure at first if Collin would like musicals but this kid was awe-struck.  He loved it and kept asking for more during the intermission. Needless to say, I will be taking him to more musicals in the future.

Musashi and Collin

Musashi is one of Collin's favorite classmates.  Musashi and his mom are Japanese.  She is from mainland Japan while Musashi was born here in Okinawa.  They had a wonderful time playing with each other and we are planning more playdates.

I know, I've been slacking

Here are some pictures starting with where I left off to today.

For Halloween Collin got a new wagon.  He felt like he needed to pull it.  He doesn't pull anymore, he just rides now.

Collin was T-I-GG-ER for Halloween.

Some more pictures from his 2-yr photo shoot.

On Collin's actual birthday, we were surprised with a quick visit from Daddy.  We were sad when he had to leave the next day.

Collin was showing us his dance moves at his birthday bash.

He loved the bounce house I rented.  I will be doing this again!

He was getting annoyed with the paparazzi!!

Hiking up at Torii Beach.

Daddy deployed again.  Its getting harder now.  Collin is more aware of Daddy leaving and it breaks my heart to hear him always asking for Daddy.

For Valentines Day Collin's school had a pony come to meet the kids.  Collin was very excited plus he actually held the rope as we walked to the park.

Collin feeding the horse. He really wasn't sure about it but he had fun and yes, he did try to eat the carrots himself.
